New Visa  & Passport Requirements

Cote D’Ivoire (Ivory Coast) As of January 15, 2009, US citizens traveling to Cote D’Ivoire will require a visa stamped in their passport in advance of arrival.  Please visit our visa instruction page for complete details.

Egypt -
Beginning January 1, US citizens traveling to Egypt for business will no longer be allowed to acquire visas on arrival. Business visas to Egypt must be acquired in advance. Tourist visas for US citizens will still be available on arrival.

India
- Sponsor Letter From Organization in India: A letter from the sponsoring organization in India on company letterhead indicating nature of applicant's business, probable duration of stay, state the validity of visa applied for (1 Year, 5 Year or 10 Year), places and organizations to be visited and also a guarantee to meet maintenance expenses etc. should accompany the application.

Brazil - Brazilian consulate opens a new office in Atlanta. Effective immediately residents of Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee, must apply in Atlanta for Brazilian Visas.

New Fees

Vietnam - Effective October 08 the Embassy of Vietnam will increase their fees.

Cameroon -
Effective September 10, 2008, The Embassy of Cameroon will increase their fees.

India
– Effective July 1st. 2008, the Embassy of India will increase their consular fees for business and employment visas.

Mali - Effective April 25, 2008, The Embassy of Mali will increase their fees fees.

Zambia - Effective April 14, 2008, The Embassy of Zambia will increase their fees fees.

Thailand - Effective April 1, 2008, the Thai Embassy will increase their fees for Transit, Tourist and Non-Immigrant visas.

Passport Fees Increase: Effective February 1st. 2008; new fees will be in effect for New Passport Applications and Renewal Applications.

Brazil - Effective January 7, 2008, The Embassy of Brazil will adjust its consular fees for US citizens. Please click on the Consular Fees link to view the new fees.

India - Effective Oct.1, 2007 the Indian Embassy will charge an additional $13.00 per application.

China -Effective January 20, 2008, visa fee for U.S. citizen will be adjusted on reciprocal basis . The details are as follows:    

  1. Visa fee for the individual applicants will be $130 per person, regardless of  the types of visa applied for.
  2. Visa fee for group visa will be $110 per person.  
  3. Expedited service fees will remain unchanged.
